The Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program, brought to you by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and New Jersey's Clean Energy Program (NJCEP), offers “whole house” solutions to reduce both your energy costs and carbon footprint. Installing energy efficient upgrades through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program in your home can save up to 30% on energy costs and increase the comfort, safety and durability of your home. 2012 customer incentives:
Tier 2 - Install air sealing and/or insulation, with the options of installing water heating, duct sealing and/or duct insulation measures for a total energy savings 10% and less than 20% to receive $2,000 cash rebate, not to exceed 50% of the cost of the measures used to calculate total energy savings, and 0% interest financing up to $5,000.
Tier 3, Level 1 - Install air sealing, insulation, HVAC, DHW and/or other eligible measures that achieve 20% and less than 25% estimated total energy savings to receive a $4,000 cash rebate, not to exceed 50% of cost of the measures used to calculate total energy savings, and 0% interest financing up to $10,000.
Tier 3, Level 2 - Install air sealing, insulation, HVAC, hot water heater, and other eligible measures that achieve total energy savings of 25% or greater to receive a $5,000 cash rebate, not to exceed 50% of the cost of measures used to calculate total energy savings, and 0% interest financing up to $10,000. (Measures not eligible for incentives and cannot count towards total energy savings are doors and windows, appliances, and lighting fixtures/bulbs. Project must include an eligible upgrade such as air sealing.)
