New Residential Customers
Homes with gas (gas appliances are installed):

Please call the Customer Connection at 1-800-242-5830. The call is toll free when called from within our service area. Please call us five business days prior to the date you are requesting the start of service. We cannot guarantee a change in service for calls made less than 48 hours before the date requested. At the time you call, we will notify you of any deposits or turn on fees that may be required.

To turn on service, please have the following information available when calling:

  • Name
  • New address
  • Contact phone numbers
  • Date requested for turn-on of service
  • Social security number
  • Driver's license number
  • Place of employment, including business telephone number

Homes without gas (a natural gas service line is not installed to the home or there are no gas appliances currently installed):

  • To check if gas is available in your neighborhood; or
  • To have a gas service line installed; or
  • To ask about switching to natural gas

Contact our local Sales Office for the county where you live. You can e-mail the Sales Department at gasisnatural@aglresources.com. Be sure to include your name, address, phone number and the best time to contact you.


Existing Residential Customers

For Old Address:

  • Account number
  • Address
  • New mailing address
  • Date requested for transfer of service

For New Address:

  • New address
  • Contact telephone numbers
  • Date requested for transfer of service
  • Social security number
  • Driver's license number
  • Place of employment, including business telephone number

To turn off service, please have the following information available when calling:

  • Account number
  • Address where service is to be turned off
  • New mailing address
  • Date requested for service turn-off
