Elizabethtown Gas Names Director of Sales January 26, 2005
UNION, NJ. – January 26, 2005 – Elizabethtown Gas, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based AGL Resources (NYSE:ATG), has named Gary J. Marmo director of sales, Elizabethtown Gas. In his new position, Marmo will be responsible for all sales functions, including residential, commercial and industrial customers at the New Jersey utility.
“Gary is the right man to do the job,” said Eric Martinez, Elizabethtown Gas vice president and general manager. “His track record at the company has proven his ability to meet customer needs at all levels on time and on budget.”
Most recently, Marmo was NUI Elizabethtown Gas manager, customer development. In that position since 1996, he was responsible for marketing and sales activities for NUI’s largest industrial and commercial accounts in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and North Carolina.
With Elizabethtown Gas since 1989 in a variety of sales positions, Marmo spent a year away from the company from 1995 to 1996 to become a key account executive at Utilicorp Energy Solutions in Kansas City, MO. Marmo has a Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration & Economics from William Paterson College; Wayne, New Jersey. He lives in Saylorsburg, PA with his wife, Mary Kate, and children, Erin, Brittany, and Gary Jr.
AGL Resources, an energy services holding company, acquired Elizabethtown Gas when it bought NUI Corp. in November 2004. In addition to Elizabethtown Gas, AGL Resources acquired Elkton Gas in Elkton, Maryland, Virginia Gas, and Florida City Gas from NUI.
