Elizabethtown Gas to Donate $150,000 in Energy Assistance Grants to Help Low-Income Elderly Seniors to Receive New or Refurbished Heating Systems

WHAT: Elizabethtown Gas, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based AGL Resources (NYSE:ATG), will distribute grants totaling $150,000 to four New Jersey social service organizations on Friday, March 4, 2005 at its first AGL Resources Foundation Energy Assistance Grant Presentation luncheon. The grants are intended to provide energy assistance in the form of new or refurbished heating systems to low-income seniors in the state. The luncheon, at the company’s headquarters in Union, New Jersey, will bring together leaders from the state, local community and the following organizations, which are the 2005 grant recipients:

  • The New Jersey State Department of Community Affairs
  • PROCEED Inc. (Union County)
  • The Puerto Rican Action Board (Middlesex County)
  • NORWESCAP (Warren, Sussex and Hunterdon County)
