UNION, NJ. – June 8, 2005 – Elizabethtown Gas, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based AGL Resources (NYSE:ATG), has named Kevin Lynott director of governmental relations.

“We’re pleased to have Kevin head our governmental relations activities in New Jersey,” said Lindsay Thomas, senior vice president of governmental relations at AGL Resources. “His quarter-of-a-century of experience in the state working on public affairs activities for Merck and JCP&L will serve us well as we increase our profile and activities in New Jersey.”

“Kevin knows the issues as well as the communities and their leaders in New Jersey,” said Eric Martinez, vice president and general manager of Elizabethtown Gas. “We will look to him to help us provide the best natural gas service to the communities we serve by building relationships with community and state leaders to stay on top of the issues and respond to customer concerns.”

Lynott, a Sparta resident, has a Masters of Arts Degree in Politics from The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Loyola College, Baltimore, Md. He has been married for 27 years to his wife, Jean, and has three sons: Patrick, 24; Brendan, 21; and Timothy, 17.
