UNION, N.J. – Feb. 15, 2006 — Representatives from Elizabethtown Gas, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based AGL Resources (NYSE: ATG), will be reaching out on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth to help qualified natural gas customers fill out applications for the federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and other energy assistance programs.

The free service will be staffed by Elizabethtown Gas employees from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Food Court at Jersey Gardens Mall, 651 Kapkowski Rd.

“With increased energy prices this winter, many of our customers are finding that they need extra help in paying their heating bills,” said Don Carter, vice president of Elizabethtown Gas. “Having our employees at the mall is one of the many outreach efforts we’re making to help customers this winter. We are glad to be able to help them with the paperwork. We still have almost two months of winter weather ahead, and we want to make sure that our customers get the available help they need.”
