Elizabethtown Gas to Pass $10.9 Million Savings from Federal Tax Reform Law to Customers

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) has approved a reduction of Elizabethtown Gas’ distribution rates totaling $10.9 million, effective April 1. The reduction stems from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, which lowered Elizabethtown Gas’ annual tax expense – a savings Elizabethtown Gas’ firm natural gas customers in New Jersey will benefit from.
