Building Operator Certification Program

Elizabethtown Gas has partnered with the Clean Energy Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology to offer the Building Operator Certification (BOC) Level I course at a discounted rate for Elizabethtown Gas customers. The course provides building operators with knowledge and skill enhancement in key activities associated with operating energy-efficient buildings. The course content covers topics including: HVAC controls, opportunities for operational improvements and building scoping for energy efficiency.

Program Benefits:

Includes additional BOC Level 1 and building re-tuning courses
Provides a standard of professional competence in energy- and resource-efficient building operations and maintenance
Offers a career ladder to those in the building operations and maintenance fields through stackable professional credentials
Develops a standard for educational programs for building operations staff

Course Discount:
Elizabethtown Gas will provide a $1,000 course discount (~~$1,895~~ $895) to approved program applicants.

Eligibility Requirements:

This program is for commercial and industrial customers with facilities of 50,000 conditioned square feet or larger.
Participants must have two years of building maintenance experience.
