Elizabethtown Gas is committed to delivering safe, reliable, and affordable natural gas to our customers. As part of our ongoing system upgrades, our Field Operations team is conducting meter replacement and relocation projects throughout our service area. These projects help modernize the natural gas system, enhance safety, and improve customer experience — with no charge to affected customers.
Gas Service Work (Meter Replacements)
In the coming weeks, Elizabethtown Gas will be performing natural gas service work at various customer locations. This important maintenance improves safety, reliability, and the overall customer experience. During the maintenance work, gas service may be temporarily interrupted between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. There is no charge for this work.
Once the work is complete, a technician will visit to relight and restore appliances. If you are not home at the time, a door notice will provide instructions for scheduling your service restoration. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these essential improvements.
For questions about this work, please call our monitored voicemail at 1.908.662.8499. Messages will be returned within two business days.
Meter Relocation Projects
As part of our continued investment in a safer and more reliable natural gas system, Elizabethtown Gas is relocating gas meters from inside buildings to outdoor locations. Outdoor meters allow for easier access, improved safety, and more efficient maintenance. If your meter has been identified for relocation, there is no charge for this work. While these relocations are not optional, we will coordinate with you to minimize inconvenience and ensure your property's appearance is maintained.
To schedule your appointment, please call our monitored voicemail at 1.888.711.8894 within 15 days of receiving your notification. A representative will return your call within two business days to arrange a convenient time. After the relocation is complete, our team will restore your property as close as possible to its pre-construction condition.
