HOLA (Hispanic Organization for Latino Achievement) Assembles over 1,000 Sandwiches

Elizabethtown Gas employees from HOLA (Hispanic Organization for Latino Achievement) proudly volunteered at the 12th Annual “Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation” Sandwich Drive, hosted by St. Joseph Social Service Center in partnership with Assemblywoman Annette Quijano.

This event supports individuals and families facing food insecurity and homelessness in Greater Elizabeth, NJ. Since 1983, St. Joseph’s has provided essential services including food, clothing, medications, and more to those in need.

Volunteers assembled over 1,000 sandwiches and toured the food pantry to learn more about the center’s mission and operations. We’re grateful to all employees who gave their time to make a meaningful difference in the community.

"Game On" Grant Program

For over ten years, the Game On Grant Program has provided support to sustain local, community-centered youth sports programs (leagues, clubs, and recreational organizations) in the Elizabethtown Gas service area. We’re proud to partner with these organizations and support them in their missions to provide safe, fun activities for kids in our region.

VETS Food Drive

VETS Food Drive for the Red Cross Service to Armed Forces

In partnership with the Red Cross, SJI’s Veterans Engagement Team (VETS) collects thousands of pounds of food during their food drive by setting up collection points throughout New Jersey. VETS encourages customers, employees and families from Elizabethtown Gas to drop off non-perishable items. Volunteers then deliver several truckloads of food to the Red Cross for distribution.

VETS is an employee resource group at SJI that supports the personal growth and professional development of former servicemen and women. The Red Cross Service to Armed Forces program provides home comforts and critical services on bases, in military hospitals and supports military families during deployments and emergencies.
