Investing In Our Communities

Reliability You Can Trust

We are committed to a modern, resilient energy grid. Through our multi-year infrastructure investment programs, we ensure your service is reliable and prepared for any challenge—natural or man-made.

  • ETG WorkersPipe Modernization: According to the American Gas Association, America’s natural gas utilities invest $37 billion each year in enhancing the safety of natural gas distribution and transmission systems. We are currently replacing 250 miles of aging pipe across the South Jersey Gas system. In fact, South Jersey Gas and Elizabethtown Gas, combined, have about 19,200 miles of pipe in service. That’s enough pipe to go from New York to Los Angeles about 7 times.
  • Enhanced Reliability: We’ve spent years investing in our infrastructure for severe and cold weather, and our response has demonstrated the importance of making those investments. We have been able to meet that demand during these events due to investments in our modernized gas system, robust operational planning, and dedicated field personnel.
  • Dedicated Frontline Heroes: Our teams serve as frontline heroes who work around the clock in harsh winter weather, providing rapid, efficient leak repairs when our customers need them most. These crews are members of the very communities they serve—neighbors helping neighbors—restoring not just service, but peace of mind. In fact, during the recent cold snap, and due to infrastructure upgrades such as the New Sentury Pump Station, the McKee City LNG Facility, and the replacement of vintage and low pressure, cast iron facilities, our crews responded to a record-breaking demand during that period without any major outages reported.
  • Economic Growth: Our investments strengthen local economies and modernize New Jersey’s energy infrastructure for the next generation.
  • Committed to Safety: Safety is top of mind in everything we do. We don't just follow rules; we foster a culture where every one of our 1,200 employees is responsible for the well-being of our customers.
